Job Title: Specialist Federal Law, Data Protection
Duration: 2 years
Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose
The Specialist Federal Law will report to the Lead Federal Law and manage compliance aspects related to Federal Protection of Personal Data, including GDPR. Key responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of privacy frameworks, coordinating the First Line of Defense (FLOD) response to data privacy requirements, and ensuring business units comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in ensuring compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR, PDPO (HK), PDPA (SG), and local UAE regulations.
• Implement policies, conduct Data Privacy Risk/Impact Assessments, and ensure Privacy by Design in all new initiatives.
• Maintain liaison with Data Protection Authorities and coordinate efforts across international jurisdictions for compliance.
• Support with Data Processing Agreements, vendor management, and regulatory filings.
• Provide subject matter expertise to business units on data privacy and assist with the implementation of a privacy governance framework.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Master’s degree (preferred) in Law, Technology, or Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data privacy and data governance.
• CIPP/E Certification.

Desirable:

• Experience in the banking or financial industry (3+ years preferred).
• Knowledge of Information Security (e.g., CISA) or Data Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPM).

Other Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of MS Office, effective communication, and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
