Job Title: Senior Application Support Engineer
Duration: 1 Year (Long Term Extendable Contract)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities: Specialist Support:
• Organize and train junior team members; promote organizational values. Policies and Procedures:
• Implement and document team policies, systems, and procedures. Application Support:
• Provide advanced technical support and issue resolution; conduct root cause analysis; coordinate emergency responses. Incident Resolution:
• Identify and resolve incidents promptly; monitor core applications; manage incident tickets. Infrastructure Optimization:
• Maintain and configure systems for reliability; conduct diagnostics and backups; monitor application performance. Documentation Control:
• Maintain documentation for configurations and procedures; enhance training materials. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with internal and external teams; gather feedback to improve application performance. Compliance and Security:
• Ensure applications meet security standards and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process improvement and stay updated on industry trends. Risk Management:
• Support corporate policies to enhance risk management and business continuity. Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools. Experience:
• Experience: 6-8 years in the Securities/Stock Exchange or a financial institution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and ERP)
• System monitoring and health checks
• Implementing enhancements based on stakeholder requirements
• Ensuring data integrity and backups for a live operating system
• Knowledge of databases, application architecture, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Agile methodology, CI/CD pipeline management, and release management.
• Skilled in developing APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and monitoring API performance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Programming experience in Core Java; knowledge of XML, HTML, and JavaScript preferred.
• Experience with Software AG tools and Document Management Systems (e.g., OpenText DMS).
• Expertise in development (micro service implementation) and administration (Helm chart, server configuration, etc.)
• Proficient with Front End and Back End website support -Sitecore Next JS technologies a plus as well as java-based applications
• Working experience in Swift ISO 20022/15022, Swift Translator tool(preferred).
• Familiarity with programming languages is an advantage
