Role: Quality Analyst
Location: Offshore
Duration: 6 months Renewable

Key Accountabilities:

  • Test Experience:

    • 3+ years of test experience in Big Data architectures and frameworks, including Hadoop ecosystem, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Hue, and HBase.

  • Requirements Analysis & Test Design:

    • Participate in requirements analysis, test design, and test execution phases.
    • Develop and execute test cases, with a focus on automation and regression testing.

  • Business Logic & Hive Queries:

    • Convert complex business logic into Hive Queries.
    • Run, read, and debug batch processes to ensure they align with specifications.

  • Defect Management:

    • Monitor and communicate defects to development teams and oversee their resolution.
    • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing to ensure quality.

  • Data Models & Test Plans:

    • Review Data Models, Data Mappings, and architectural diagrams to create and execute effective SIT test plans and cases.

  • Agile & QA Standards:

    • Experience working in an Agile environment, ensuring QA standards are maintained across projects and phases.
    • Raise defects and participate in defect triage.

  • Query/Script Writing:

    • Write and tune complex queries/scripts in RDBMS/Hive.

  • Data Lake & Lakehouse:

    • Should have a good understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse concepts.

Requirements:

  • Tools & Technologies Expertise:

    • Proficient in Informatica Data Engineering, Hadoop, and Big Data.
    • Experience with Azure (preferred).
    • Knowledge of Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Azure Synapse/SQL DW, SQL Database, SQL Server, and Oracle.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and task tracking tools like JIRA.
    • 2+ years of experience with HP Quality Center.
    • 3+ years of experience in the QA/Testing lifecycle.

  • Financial Domain Knowledge:

    • Must have knowledge of the financial domain, with proven ability to suggest and implement creative solutions aligned with technical/business requirements.

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

    • Excellent spoken and written English skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to see tasks through to completion.

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
    • Certifications related to Big Data and Cloud Platforms.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of testing experience.
    • Banking domain knowledge.
    • Experience working with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Marts.
