Role: Marketing Analytics Specialist

Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the capture, analysis, and dissemination of marketing and user
experience data to empower teams across Company’s to make real-time, data-driven decisions.
Collaborate with Strategic Planners, Customer Insights, and Customer Strategy & Retention to
identify data capture requirements. Design and implement analytics solutions with inputs from
relevant teams across the department.
Job Accountabilities Linked to Objective Areas
1. Understand Requirements:
– Understand tracking, measurement, and reporting requirements across Company.
2. Support Teams:
– Develop guidelines and frameworks for proper tagging and tracking.
– Ensure correct setup by agencies, third parties, and internal teams.
– Define and implement marketing taxonomy for accurate data tracking.
3. Collaborate with External Partners:
– Work closely with third parties, partners, suppliers, and technology platforms to source
performance data of campaigns and programs.
– Ensure KPIs relevant to Company’s teams are tracked and measured for in-flight
optimization, post-campaign analysis, and strategy development.
4. Measurement and Reporting:
– Develop and set up tracking and measurement KPIs with Company’s teams.
– Document measurement frameworks, KPI development, and reporting inputs for
departmental reference.
5. Dashboard and Report Development:
– Build automated dashboards, reports, and scorecards for self-service use across CCM&B.
– Train and support teams in utilizing reports for data-backed investment and marketing
planning decisions.
6. Campaign Planning and Optimization:
– Support campaign planning and in-flight optimization by providing relevant data to Strategic
Planners.
7. Predictive and Forecasting Models:
– Develop predictive and forecasting models to support marketing planning and investment
decisions across regions and channels.
8. Testing and Impact Analysis:
– Facilitate A/B testing, multivariate tests, and impact analysis on product releases through
proper analytics setup, tracking, and reporting.
9. Monitor Data Quality:
– Monitor data quality, raise quality issues with appropriate teams, document, and track these
requests, updating impacted teams as needed.
10. Compliance and Privacy:
– Maintain compliance with Company’s privacy principles.
– Work with the Data Privacy Network Liaison within Company to ensure privacy and security
of personal data is considered by design and default in all aspects of the role.
3. Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Qualifications:
– Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Engineering, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, or
equivalent.
– Google Analytics Certification is highly desired.
Experience:
– 5+ years in digital marketing analytics in a global organization.
Knowledge/Skills:
– Deep understanding of performance-driven Digital Marketing Channels like Paid Search,
Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, Display Marketing, etc.
– Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics tracking and reporting, including conversion
tracking, goals, segmentations, and third-party integrations.
– Basic knowledge of tools used by different digital marketing channels like DoubleClick,
Salesforce (Email Marketing), and UX analytics platforms.
– Intermediate query writing skills and knowledge of SQL, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud
Platform, etc.
– Intermediate understanding of different BI tools like MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.
– Basic knowledge of advanced marketing analytics concepts like multi-touch attribution, cross-
device journeys, visitor cohorts, etc.
Summary:
• Advanced knowledge of UX analytics platforms such as heat and scroll mapping tools and web
tracking and reporting tools.
• Intermediate SQL query writing skills and knowledge of Google Big Query, Google cloud
platform etc.
• Advanced experience with different BI tools like Tableau, Looker studio, MicroStrategy etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics Tracking and reporting like conversion tracking, goals,
segmentations, third party.
