Job Description: IT Business Program Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Business Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful transition of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure during the program. You will be expected to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of IT processes and technologies. You will work closely with the Business stakeholders and ensure that their requirements are being met.
As IT Business transition Program Manager some of your key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for IT business transitions, including timelines, milestones, resources, interdependencies, milestones, critical path and deliverables.
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration between IT, business units, and external vendors.
Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.
Issue Management: where any issues arise, you will be expected to develop issue resolution plans to bring the project and plan back on track.
Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. You will then measure the success of the project against the defined objectives and criteria
Coordinate the identification and documentation of business requirements, ensuring alignment with IT capabilities and solutions. You will also be expected to demonstrate that the requirements have been captured and met through clear requirements traceability
Drive implementation of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to support the transition process. You will need to work with third parties and other vendors and it is expected that you will manage them and integrate their plans into your master plan.
Facilitate Organization change management activities, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement, change readiness and surveys to ensure smooth adoption of new IT processes, technologies and ways of working.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the transition process. There are multiple countries involved, and you will be expected to co-ordinate the plans across the countries.
Monitor and evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned for future projects.
Reporting: You will be expected to provide reports on progress, and you will be expected to present progress updates to the program leadership team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Proven industry knowledge and experience (10-15 years) as a project manager, preferably in IT transition or business transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Successfully demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate collaboration, and drive consensus among stakeholders with diverse interests.
Solid understanding of change management principles and practices, with experience in driving organizational change and user adoption of new technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) are desirable.
