Head of IS Risk Management Contract

Role: Head of Information Security (IS) Risk Management
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Type: 12-Month Extendable Contract

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a highly skilled Head of IS Risk Management to lead and strengthen the information security governance and risk management efforts for the bank. This strategic role involves overseeing third-party and partner security risks, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and driving the bank's cybersecurity strategy. The ideal candidate will be adept at aligning information security objectives with the bank's business goals, protecting critical assets, and fostering a secure environment across digital and cloud initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Third-Party Risk Management: Lead the third-party risk management program, continuously assessing, refining, and ensuring third-party risks align with security standards and the bank’s objectives.
• Information Security Governance: Develop and implement a robust governance framework for information security, embedding privacy and security across all partnerships and third-party engagements.
• Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with information security laws and regulations, utilizing sound risk mitigation strategies to meet the bank’s operational goals.
• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with stakeholders across the Group Information Security Department (GISD) to integrate security strategies with digital, cloud, and resilience functions.
• Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates on third-party and partner security posture, including risk assessments, metrics (KPIs, KRIs), and alignment with the enterprise risk framework.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 15+ years in information security, specializing in risk management, governance, and compliance, with leadership experience in managing security teams.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of information security processes, technologies, and banking operations; experience with GRC tools and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, COBIT, NIST).
• Certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Behavioral Competencies: Strong communication and strategic planning skills, problem-solving mindset, and a proven ability to manage and mitigate third-party security risks.
